Admission Notice 2017-18
Candidates seeking admission to the University in any degree programme of any college may submit online application form from the University website i.e. http://hau.ernet.in against payment of Rs. 1000/- (250/- for SC/BC/) per admission form to be deposited in concerned account.
Prospectus is available on university website i.e. http://hau.ernet.in for submission of Online application forms from 21.04.2017 for B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. (4 year and 6 year (2+4) programme), B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science 4 year programme, M.Sc. & M.Tech. Programmes.
Prospectus will be available from 03-11-2017 for Ph.D. Programmes.
Candidates seeking admission to Master's programmes [except M.Sc. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Plant Physiology, Microbiology, Zoology, Food Science & Technology and Environmental Science] are required to submit separate admission forms for each college. There is no need to mention discipline but only the college i.e. candidates seeking admission to Master's programmes in College of Agriculture should write M.Sc. Ag. and College of Home Sc. as M.Sc. Home Sc. and so on. Discipline/subject normally depends upon eligibility and availability of seat in concerned discipline/subject.

Admission Procedure –
Undergraduate programmes:
(a) B.Sc.(Hons.) Ag. 4-year programme and B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. 6-year (2+4) programme. Candidates who have qualified the Entrance Test for B.Sc.(Hons.) Ag. 4-year programme shall be required to report on 11.07.2017 at 9.30 a.m. at the College of Agriculture Auditorium for attendance and after obtaining attendance slip, report to the Admission Committee consisting of the Dean, College of Agriculture and Registrar/his representative. Those qualified the Agriculture Aptitude Test for B.Sc.(Hons.) Ag. 6-year (2+4) programme are required to report on 25.07.2017 at 9.30 a.m. at the College of Agriculture Auditorium.
(b) B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science 4-year programme All eligible candidates of 4-year Programme who have applied for admission as per rules, are required to report on 13.07.2017 at 9.00 a.m. at the College of Home Science Auditorium for attendance and after obtaining attendance slip report to the Admission Committee consisting of the Dean, College of Home Science and Registrar/his representative. Admission shall be allowed on merit of the aggregate marks obtained at the level of educational requirements as laid down in Rule-19 (page-34) and on the basis of availability of seat(s) in the relevant programme.
(c) General for B.Sc.(Hons.)Ag./B.Sc.(Hons.) Community Science. Admission shall be allowed on the basis of availability of seat(s). Candidates admitted shall have to pay fees etc. there and then. Candidates admitted are required to report for registration on due date(s) failing which they will forfeit their fee and claim of admission
Such candidates who could not get admission to the programme of their choice shall report again on the next schedule of admissions as indicated in Annexure-II A candidate, who refuses admission on his turn, will not be considered for admission to that programme again in the subsequent schedule (s).
Minimum educational requirements for admission
Undergraduate Programmes:
B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. 4-year.
10+2 or equivalent having passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Math or Agriculture stream from a recognized University/Board with 50% marks in 10+2 (relaxable upto 47.5% for Scheduled Caste and Person with Disability (PwD) candidates)
B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. 6-year (2+4).
Matric with 60% marks (relaxable upto 57% for Scheduled Caste and Person with Disability (PwD) candidates) from a recognized Board.
B.Tech. (Agril. Engg.)
Minimum Academic Qualification: 10+2 Examination from any recognized board/ university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with at least 50% marks (47.5% for Scheduled Caste and Person with Disability (PwD) candidates).
B.Tech. (Agril. Engg.) Under Lateral Entry Scheme
Diploma in Agril. Engg./Food Technology/ Civil Engg./ Mechanical Engg.
B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science 4-year programme
Pass 10+2 exam. or equivalent from any stream with 50% marks (relaxable upto 47.5% for Scheduled Caste and Person with Disability (PwD) candidates) from a recognized Board/University. Preference will be given to the candidates coming from science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Math/Biology.
